I organized two GO at the same time, but October was pretty bad for me. Lost of a loved one and had accidents enough make me want to not get up. Who knows why they happen (I keep mentioning someone have a voo doo doll of me out there lol) one weekend was so bad almost lost an eye, almost broke some fingers and somewhat bad burnt skin from oil splashs (dude that can hurt as fuck). Ray helped me clear the table, but I didnt pay attention that the USPS receipts gone.
I sent out two packages on the same day so I know what day it was sent, and one of them contacted me that hers arrived in UK. The one in US didn't.
She did not want any tracking or whatsoever so there's nothing I could do about it. It is strange though, A DC for parcel post is just like 0.19 cents. On Sunday, I received an email from PayPal that she claimed a dispute.
I contacted her, telling her that I shouldn't be refunding her, it's not my item even, I just helped her order. She was in my other GO in Feb earlier this year. So i thought what the heck?
She told me oh she knows that, but PayPal will refund her, not me. According to her she believes that PayPal will refund her no matter if the fault is USPS, and it won't cost me anything.
I told her, but your item was lost during shipping, PayPal will think that I scam you or something. Again she said don't worry.
i was asked to respond to the dispute, and then i realized the receipts was gone. even if i found it, it wouldn't matter because it asks you only three option, no place to upload a scan of the receipt.
I called PayPal explaining the matter, they said unfortunately they cant do anything for me, and rule in favor of the buyer. they asked me to read properly what qualifies as sellers protection for my protection in the future. After the call I immidiately got an email from PayPal, due to my phone conversation that I cannot show proof, it ruled in her favor and took the amount.
Ray was really mad and think that she scammed me, like her item arrived but she decided no one would know that. "it was like 19 cents!" he yelled, lol. if i known this would happen i probably pay for that 19 cents. he suggested that I leave a negative feedback for her, so future sellers would be aware of her and would make her get DC or something.
I still don't know what to do yet. I probably should leave her a feedback. And I plan to go to forums and spread awareness to sellers. Yes I am fully aware as a buyer, but not as a seller!
what was in that package is a mr. superclear. with split shipping cost and tax from volks, it only come around 12 something and that is how much PayPal took from me, and I 'm glad that I am learning this experience from that small of an amount.
When she first asked me if I can order that for her, I said okay, but you have to tell me the safe way to ship this. I did research for her, and even contacted Volks.
She told me, oh shes done it before no problem, she said if its too difficult for me, it's okay. i said its not difficult, i just dont know how to ship it. i decide parcel post is better because its by land. she agreed, and i assumed she knows it's her responsibility if something happens. part of me feel that her package got scanned or something, and they hold it. but won't they notify the recipient though?
anyway, maybe i'm too stupidly well-meaning, i've been told.
i let people choose 1st class all the time, but i guess its time to make people get DC.
putting on forum sales post "i bear no responsible if your package is lost and untrackable" will not work, PayPal will not buy that.
I will do it if that person is paying with gift, and I would upload a part of the receipt that has her postcode and city, like a mark out of our trust (sooo dramatic).
Anyway, just beware. we always hear seller scamming
I've been wanting to post this up for awhile, but I've been busy with shoots and editing this week. while i love compositing frame by frame, but it's taking over my eyes
