Last night (Monday 6.37 am) I placed some pre-orders. I got one of the shirts wrong. I place another pre-order with the correct shirt, then emailed them within half hour of the wrong placed order (Monday 7.07 am) to tell them, I ordered the wrong shirt, but already placed an order for the right one, and can they please cancel the wrong one. I emailed them politely.
Their reply:
"Unfortunately we are already in the process of securing stock of that item specifically for your order and therefore it cannot be canceled. We apologize for the inconvenience and kindly ask that you please continue with your purchase."
"Hi there,
but I emailed you within the half hour I placed the order.
I am not willing to purchase something I don't want, the Hitsuyouaku shirt.
I understand your store policy, you can close my account and cancel my orders, thanks."
"Hi again, Azzrinna. Your email came to us outside of our business hours. Please confirm that you would like your account closed. Please understand that you would not be able to place any new orders at our store. Thank you for shopping at AmiAmi."
hi there, i understand that it came outside business hours, but also understand that i placed the order outside of business hours.
people make mistake, even hobby search give cancel time within one day. :)
in the shirt case, the product look really similar to me only later when i reread the name I realized it.
im pretty sure i will make mistakes like this in the future with items that look very similar,
so yes please close my account. im sorry and thank you for your kind services.

I don't understand how my orders can be processed outside of business hours unless they do that automatically. They are not giving leeways to people. It is not even exactly a cancellation of item. I made a mistake and tried to rectify it by re-ordering the correct one, all they had to do was cancelled the wrong one.
People make mistakes, it's not based on a reason I don't want the order anymore.
We would be in trouble if LeekeWorld done the same. in my span of years with Leeke I have added, subtracted and changed orders, always worrying that they might get confused but they always came through for me, never a mistake, for what, since 2006?
Hobby Search people are kind to me, add my additional in-stock items, let me cancel same day no problem without having to contact them (there's a button next to your order, you can cancel it as long it's not greyed out. And one thing I find, it is much easier to email Hobby Search.
I rarely ever cancel something just because I no longer want the item. Even when I no longer want something I ordered, I get it anyway because I initially had wanted it. The company can't be held responsible simply because you changed your mind.
I also searched and read about what happened to people who cancel AmiAmi orders, either because they don't want it, the cats need to go to vet, lost a job, etc. But I guess they can't cancel the mistake because I'm new? While I had placed pre-orders that spans to 2014, I had paid for the first order which was the Nia mousepad. so the mistake counts as 2nd order I guess. Maybe they're mad because I paid the mousepad a little late (through unforeseen busy-ness, I forgot about it.)
Whatever it is, I know some people would tell me to suck it up and just pay 30 bucks for the shirt as sign of good faith or whatever, or that I am stupid to lose an account over a shirt. Maybe I don't want to be pushed over because of a shirt.
So to all you guys who felt like ordering stuff because you felt lousy after a long night of working, don't. AmiAmi is a nice shop with great prices and the ability to choose registered SAL. But if you can't tolerate my mistake, fuck that. Especially when they put this in their order acknowledgement email: Please check the following information to make sure all details are correct and make any necessary changes through your My Account page on our website.
But make sure you do it in seconds!! Trying to fix a mistake within half hour is not acceptable to them.
All orders have been canceled and your account has been permanently closed.
Any paid orders will not be affected.
